Ice Cream Sandwich Dessert

11 ice cream sandwiches
8 ounces whipped topping thawed
1/2 jar hot fudge ice cream topping
either 1/2 c salted peanuts or 1/2 c toffee bits

Lay half of the ice cream sandwiches in an 8x8 pan. Top with half the whipped topping and spoon half of the fudge topping over that. Sprinkle half the nuts or toffee bits over everything and repeat the layers. Cover and freeze, it stays good up to 2 months. Allow to thaw a few minutes before serving.
