1 1lb package smokie links
1 20 oz can pineapple chunks
½ c. brown sugar
¼ c apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 bell pepper diced (optional)
2-3 tbsp cornstarch softened in 2 Tbsp cold water
Simmer smokies in pineapple juice for 30 minutes, add rest of ingredients except cornstarch and water. Simmer 15 minutes till green pepper is tender. Add cornstarch and water and bring to boil to thicken sauce.
Mmmm... that looks really good. I'll have to make this recipe very soon. Thanks for sharing, Cindy. Do you put them in a crockpot after they have been prepared to keep them warm?
ReplyDeleteI recently made this one. It was good, tasted a lot like Chinese food with smokie links. I actually made it for lunch for my husband and me and we ate some chicken fried rice with it.
