Braised Pork Chops with Apple Sauce

1 tsp rubbed sage
1 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

2 large pork chops

1 TBLsp butter
1 TBLsp Canola oil

3/4 cup apple juice or apple sauce, divided

Rub chops with spices on both sides. Melt butter in frying pan with oil. Brown chops on both sides, but don't cook through.

Transfer chops to 9x9" baking pan. Add apple juice/sauce to frying pan, boil, scraping up browned bits; pour juice over shops in pan.

Cover with foil, bake approximately 35 minutes at 375 degrees. Put chops on serving platter. Pour juices back into frying pan and thicken with a little cornstarch; pour over the chops and enjoy!

Thanks, Grace, for this recipe!
