Creme de Menthe Bars

I just made this recipe... I guess for the first time. I must have used the wrong one because my husband said that they didn't taste like the ones he loves. However, I brought these to church and got lots of compliments. When I find the "right" recipe I will put it on here!

1st Layer

1/4 cup butter
4 TBsp cocoa
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. chocolate graham crackers
1 cup finely chopped nuts (as you can see in the picture, my nuts didn't get chopped fine! Oops!)
1/2 cup coconut

Melt butter and add cocoa. Mix together powdered sugar, vanilla and egg. Add to butter and cocoa. Mix well. Add cracker crumbs, nuts and coconut. Press into 9x13 inch pan. Refrigerate 1 hour.

2nd Layer

1 cup butter
4 TBsp creme de menthe (although, I would probably use 6 TBsp, it seemed weak to me)
3 cups powdered sugar
3 TBsp. dry vanilla instant pudding

Melt butter and add creme de menthe, powdered sugar and dry pudding. Beat well, then spread over first layer. Refrigerate until set (20 minutes).

3rd Layer

1/2 cup butter
2 cups choc. chips (they recommend all semi-sweet, but I used half milk chocolate)

Melt butter and choc. chips. Spread on top of second layer and refrigerate about a half hour or until chocolate is set (back to room temp). Cut into small bars now... if you wait much longer the chocolate will crack when cutting.
