Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Chicken and Broccoli Braid
This dish is wonderful - and looks great too!

2c cooked chicken, chopped
1c broccoli, chopped
1/2c red bell pepper, chopped
1c cheddar cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2c mayonnaise
2tsp dried dill weed
1/4tsp salt
2pkg crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 375. Chop chicken and broccoli and place in 2qt bowl. Add bell pepper, cheese, and garlic to bowl. Add mayonnaise, dill, and salt. Mix well. Unrool 1pkg of crescent rolls - do not separate. Arrange longest sides of dough across width of 12x15 rectangle baking sheet (i use a regular cookie sheet - no sides is best). Repeat with remaining dough. Using a roller (or fingers if your pan has sides), roll dough to edges of sheet, sealing perforations. On longes sides of baking sheet, cut dough into strips 1 1/2in apart and 3in deep using pizza cutter (leave about 5-6inches in center for filling)

Spread filling evenly over center of dough. TO braid, lift strips of dough across mixture to meet in center, twisting each strip once (same direction every time). Tuck ends up to form a rim at end of braid. Bake 25-28min or until golden brown.

*to get a shiny look you can brush egg white over dough before cooking
*you can also add slivered almonds over egg white for added crunch/taste.
